ProofCam Privacy Policy

Effective June 22, 2026

ProofCam is built to keep your photos and the information on them on your device. There is no account and no ProofCam server. This policy explains what that means in plain terms.

No account, no ProofCam server

ProofCam has no sign-up and no login. We do not run a backend that receives your photos, locations, or notes. There is nothing for us to see.

What stays on your device

Your photos, GPS coordinates, addresses, notes, and stamped images are stored only in ProofCam's own storage on your iPhone. They are not uploaded to us or to anyone else.

Camera

The camera is used to take the photos you stamp. Those photos are processed on your device. ProofCam does not send them anywhere.

Location

With your permission, ProofCam reads your location while the app is open to add GPS coordinates and an approximate address to a stamp. Your coordinates stay on the device, except that — only when you are online — they are sent to Apple's geocoder to turn coordinates into an address. That lookup is handled by Apple and governed by Apple's privacy policy. You can use ProofCam without location in time-only mode.

Photo library

ProofCam adds a stamped photo to your photo library only when you tap Save to Photos. It does not read or browse your existing library.

Purchases

ProofCam Pro is a one-time purchase processed by Apple's In-App Purchase. To unlock and restore Pro, our payments provider RevenueCat handles your purchase information and a random app-user identifier that is not linked to your identity and is not used to track you across other apps. See RevenueCat's and Apple's privacy policies for how they handle purchase data.

Private analytics

ProofCam uses privacy-conscious analytics to understand app launches, onboarding, feature use, paywall results, purchases, restores, shares, and export reliability. Analytics events never include photos, GPS coordinates, addresses, note text, filenames, email addresses, or persistent photo IDs. TelemetryDeck receives an app-install identifier, event names, coarse event details, app and device metadata, and hourly-rounded timestamps for analytics only. This is not used to track you across other apps or websites. See TelemetryDeck's privacy policy.

No ad tracking

ProofCam contains no advertising SDKs and does no cross-app or cross-site tracking, so it never shows the App Tracking Transparency prompt.

Deleting your data

You can delete any stamped photo inside ProofCam. Deleting the app removes ProofCam's on-device data with it. Purchase records are kept by Apple under your Apple Account, not by ProofCam.

Children

ProofCam is a general-purpose work tool and is not directed at children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
